THE SHORT VERSION
- Contact support@sleepanion.com for help.
- Your local reflections do not sync between devices.
- Never send passwords, sign-in tokens or payment-card details.
01Contact Sleepanion
Email support@sleepanion.com. Tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. We do not promise a response time on this page. This is product support, not a medical or emergency service.
Helpful details: app version, iPhone model, iOS version, the screen or action involved, a visible error message and roughly when the issue occurred. If a screenshot helps, hide names, emails and private entries first. The app does not automatically attach Health data or your diary.
Please do not send passwords, one-time codes, access tokens, payment-card details or a full private-data export. For an account issue, tell us whether you used Apple or Google. If further verification is necessary, only proportionate information should be requested.
02Getting started and offline use
What device do I need?
The current app is designed for iPhone with iOS 18 or later. Check the App Store listing for availability in your region when the app is released. The website itself does not play or store your private app diary.
Do I need an account?
Yes. Use Sign in with Apple or Google. First sign-in requires a connection. A previously verified session may keep local access offline; if the app asks you to reauthenticate, reconnect and use the same provider account. A network error does not require erasing your local records.
Can I listen without the internet?
Bundled sounds work locally after account verification. Account changes, favorite synchronization and App Store actions need a connection. The current app does not depend on a website audio stream for the bundled collection.
03Sound and playback
I cannot hear a sound
- Check iPhone volume and the active output in Control Center.
- Check whether Bluetooth audio is going to another device.
- Return to the player and check whether the session is paused.
- Try a comfortable low volume, then adjust gradually.
Playback paused unexpectedly
A call, alarm, Siri interaction, disconnected headset or another audio app can interrupt playback. Reopen the player and resume when ready. An interruption should not require deleting your account or records.
How does a session end?
You can choose a gentle fade to silence, continued sound or a gentle return cue. The timer and ending can be adjusted from the player. A return cue is not a reliable morning alarm; use your usual alarm separately.
Are the sounds recordings?
The catalog has 64 sound worlds: 44 procedural sound worlds and 20 recorded listening profiles. Multiple profiles can come from a credited source recording. Sound/profile combinations are not separate original recordings.
04Apple Health and morning reflections
No sleep information appears
Check whether Apple Health contains recent sleep recordings and review Sleepanion’s sleep-data access in Apple’s Health/privacy settings. No available records can mean either missing recordings or limited access; the app cannot reliably distinguish the two. Try refreshing after records become available.
Does Sleepanion track sleep through the microphone?
No. It does not record your bedroom or infer sleep from listening time. Optional Health context comes from existing Apple Health records. Morning answers describe how the night felt to you.
Can I use the app without Health?
Yes. Sound journeys and your own reflections do not require Health records. Health access is optional and read-only; the app does not write your reflection into Apple Health.
Why do numbers differ from another app?
Record availability, overlapping sources, timezone boundaries and how an app groups sleep periods can produce differences. Missing information remains unavailable rather than being shown as zero. The display is descriptive and is not a medical assessment.
05Sign-in and account access
Apple or Google sign-in is not completing
Check your connection, confirm that you can access the provider account, then retry. If the app requests the same account, use the original provider and identity. Account recovery for Apple or Google takes place with that provider; Sleepanion cannot reset their password.
My email address looks unfamiliar
If you chose Hide My Email with Apple, the app may show an Apple relay address. That can be the correct account address. Mention that you used Sign in with Apple when contacting support; never send a login token.
Will switching accounts transfer my diary?
No. Private reflections and history stay on this iPhone and are not synced between accounts. Sign-out preserves them. Explicit sound favorites are a separate server feature associated with the account.
06Favorites, feedback and history
A heart saves a sound preference and sends that explicit choice to the account service when available. Community totals represent favorites, not ratings, reviews or proof of sleep improvement. Other people cannot see your identity from a total.
While offline, supported favorite changes can wait to synchronize. A count may be unavailable when the service cannot be reached. Private sound reactions, tags and notes remain local.
Listening history measures actual listening time. It is not the number of hours you slept. Setup previews do not create a normal listening-history entry.
07Reminders and language
A reminder does not appear
Review You → Notifications, then iPhone Settings for Sleepanion notification permission. Focus modes and system notification settings can affect delivery. Bedtime and companion prompts have separate choices. You can turn them off at any time.
What can appear on my Lock Screen?
Notifications use general wording without private notes or sleep measurements. If you opt to show a favorite sound’s title, that title may appear on the Lock Screen. Review preview settings on your iPhone if others can see it.
How do I change language?
Open You → Language. The app’s language preference is stored locally and is separate from the language links on this website.
08Purchases and subscriptions
A membership is not showing
Connect to the internet and use Restore purchases with the App Store account that made the purchase. Pending approvals can take time. The app grants paid access only after App Store verification; signing into Sleepanion alone is not proof of purchase.
How do I cancel or request a refund?
Open iPhone Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions to manage an Apple-billed membership. See Apple’s cancellation guide or Apple’s refund guide. Eligibility is decided under Apple’s applicable process and law.
Deleting the app, account or local records does not cancel a subscription. The website does not sell a subscription or collect payment details.
09Export, erase and account deletion
In You, choose Export my Sleepanion data to create a file for the system share sheet. It can contain private notes; review the destination. This is a reference export, not a promise of an import or cloud-restore feature.
Use Erase data on this iPhone to remove app-owned records locally. Use Account and access → Delete account to delete the remote account. Neither action removes original Apple Health records or cancels an Apple subscription.
Read the complete deletion guide. If you cannot access the app, email support@sleepanion.com to request help with account deletion. The website itself does not submit or confirm deletion.
10Accessibility and website issues
The app includes larger-text and Reduce Motion support. Tell us if text is cut off, a control is hard to use, a VoiceOver label is unclear, or a colour makes information difficult to read. Include the screen, device and accessibility setting involved, without private records.
For a website issue, include the page URL, browser and device. The website uses no advertising or analytics cookies; Cookies & storage explains its current configuration. Privacy requests can be sent to the same support address.
